Description
Church Cottage is a semi-detached cottage that dates back to the 17th century and is located next to Tudor Cottage. The building features square-panelled timber-framing with tension bracing and brick infill, along with a coursed squared and dressed limestone plinth. It has a red tile roof and a coursed squared and dressed limestone stack with a brick shaft. The cottage is 1½ storeys high and includes a cross-mullioned window with leaded panes, as well as a single-light window with leaded panes to the right. There are two 3-light eaves dormers that have imitation timber-framed gables. A projecting gable-end stack has a shaft that is set away from the house. Access to the gable entry is through a 20th-century lean-to that features a 20th-century plank door. The interior has not been inspected.
