Description
This is an outbuilding, now used as a garage, located approximately 20 meters east of Number 2 (Manor House). It likely dates from the mid-17th century and is constructed of squared coursed limestone with a corrugated asbestos roof. The building has a two-unit plan and is a single storey with an attic. There is a central 19th-century plant door with a fanlight, a 20th-century door to the left, and a 20th-century window to the right. The gable ends feature ashlar parapets, and the left gable has a two-light stone mullion attic window. The rear wall has been partially rebuilt, and the interior has not been inspected. Attached to the left of the main front is a gate arch that has a four-centred arch head with a plain pediment above. It is said that this arch was once part of a dovecote, and the date 1751 is inscribed on the jamb of the gate arch. The building is included for its group value.
