Description
Knightons Row is a mid-18th century farmhouse, now divided into two dwellings, situated on the west side of North Street in Raunds. The building is constructed of squared coursed limestone with a thatched roof. Originally designed with a three-unit plan, it now presents a six-window range on its front elevation, featuring 20th century casement windows with glazing bars, all set beneath gauged stone lintels. The central and right-hand entrances are distinguished by six-panel doors, each placed under a segmental arch head incorporating a fanlight with glazing bars. Ashlar gable parapets top the building, and rebuilt ashlar stacks are located at the ridge and ends. A two-window range is attached to the right, with casement windows and eyebrow dormers, and a 20th century gable door is positioned at the far right. A 20th century garage with a thatched roof is attached to the left. The rear elevation is similar in design. The interiors have not been inspected.
