RAUNDS MOUNTBATTEN WAY TL07NW (South side) 6/123 Lime Kiln at O.S. TL 0031 7254 02/04/86 - II

Lime kiln. Mid C19. Brick. Circular plan with conical brick roof and octagonal flue. Flight of steps down to arch head doorway, below ground, gives access to furnace. Outer wall of kiln encased in late C19/early C20 brick strengthening skin. Originally part of Raunds Manor Brickworks.
