Description
The lime kiln, dating from the mid to late 18th century, is located on the south side of Hergill Lane in Kirby Hill, North Yorkshire. This disused structure is built from rubble and features two hearths positioned side by side. Each hearth has segmental-pointed arches with dressed stones framing the openings, and they are semi-elliptical in shape. At the top of the kiln, there is a single circular hole.
