Description

SO 82 NE LEIGH CHURCH LANE (north side) 3/72 White monument and adjoining headstone, in the churchyard, about 9.5m north of west window, north side of Church of St Catherine GV II Pedestal tomb and headstone. Pedestal to Mary White, died 1810. Stone. Swept top, moulded edge, indented corners; plain frieze with central double reed, raised, square panel with moulded edge to sides, moulded base on wider, plain paving. Other inscriptions: partly overgrown with ivy. Adjoining headstone, cambered top with scalloped corners, sunk line all round; first word Gothick lettering; mixed upper and lower case, good lettering. Various White children, probably 1835.
