Description
The Cottage is a semi-detached cottage that dates from the mid 17th century to early 18th century. It features square-panelled timber-framing with painted brick infill and has a concrete tile roof. The cottage includes an extension that runs at right angles to Crooked Beams. There is a 20th-century rendered extension that is not of special interest. The building is 1½ storeys high, with a north-facing elevation that has two 20th-century two-light steel casements with horizontal glazing bars, set within an unframed area of walling that has a long 20th-century wooden lintel. There is also a two-light flat-roofed 20th-century roof-dormer. Access to the cottage is now through a 20th-century panelled door in a Georgian style, located within the 20th-century extension. The interior has not been inspected. The Cottage is included in the listing mainly for its group value with other nearby structures.
