Description
The Pensam monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 6 meters southeast of the southeast corner of the Church of St Catherine. It commemorates J. Pensam, who died in 1826. The tomb is made of stone and features a central flower on top, which is weathered on each side, with a chain of leaves along the edges. It has two steps leading to a projecting lid with a moulded edge. The sides of the tomb have raised rectangular panels, and the ends feature wide rectangular pilasters with raised panels on their stems. The base is moulded with a plain step. There are later inscriptions with good lettering, but the tomb is currently badly overgrown.
