Description
Queen Anne House is a house and shop located on the south-east side of Winchcombe High Street, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of limestone ashlar and features a plinth, alternating v-joint quotas, a modillion cornice, and a coped parapet, with a brick return gable on the right and a concrete tile roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a two-windowed facade. The first floor has sash windows without bars, while the ground floor features sash windows with glazing bars, all set within moulded architraves that include a keystone and square cill. Centrally located is a 20th-century glazed door with a plain transom light above, topped by a flat wooden hood with a dentilled and moulded edge, supported by brackets. The door and the flanking windows are closely grouped together, creating a cohesive composition.
