Description

No. 53 High Street is a house and shop that dates back to the 18th century. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features V-joint alternating quoins, a moulded cornice, and a coped parapet. The roof is covered with concrete tiles. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a single window on the upper floor. There is a 2-light casement dormer above a sash window that has one vertical bar, all set in a moulded stone surround with a keystone. The ground floor includes a late 19th-century shop front with a glazed door on the right.
