Description
Coombe House is a house and shop located on the south-east side of High Street in Winchcombe, dating from the early 19th century. The building features limestone ashlar with a moulded frieze and eaves cornice, and has a small stack at the right eaves. It has two storeys and attics, with two wide-set, good 19th-century sash windows that have glazing bars and are placed under plain stone lintels. There are also two small gabled dormers with 2-light casements. The ground floor showcases a full-width plate glass shop front from the 19th century, which includes a glazed door and a section that is brought forward as a square bay on the extreme right. At the back of the premises, there are steep gables with mullioned windows that may date back to the 17th century.
