Description
Peaches Farm is a 18th-century threshing barn located to the north of Peaches Farmhouse in Minchinhampton. The barn is constructed of Cotswold stone rubble with dressed quoins and features a Cotswold stone slate roof on the north slope, which has been replaced by pantiles on the south slope. It is a large rectangular structure with a central hipped gabled entry, flanked by cowhouse outshuts. The main entrance has large plank doors, while the outshuts have small plank doors. The north elevation is plain, featuring central plank doors and slit vents. The barn has a seven-bay roof supported by principal rafters, ties, and some later collars, along with two tiers of purlins. There are inserted free-standing steel and concrete tallets in either wing of the barn, but this alteration is reversible, and the barn remains largely unaltered.
