Description
Hyde Lodge is a detached house dating from the early 18th century, with later additions from the late 19th century. It is constructed of coursed and dressed limestone, featuring ashlar chimneys and a roof made of stone and Welsh slate. The building is two stories high with an attic and has parallel rear ranges at the northeast end.
The southeast front showcases five windows in the original house on the right, all of which are 2-light chamfered mullioned casements, accompanied by a continuous hoodmould over the ground floor. The central doorway has a plain architrave and a six-panel door, topped with a flat stone porch hood supported by brackets. There are three gabled dormers with eaves-mounted timber casements. To the left, the 19th-century addition includes a single mullioned and transomed casement on each floor. The southwest gable end features a chimney with a chamfered cap. The northeast end has three gables, with the left side displaying a two-story late 19th-century bay window, while the rest features mullioned fenestration. The interior has not been inspected.
