Description
The barn at Oakhunger Farm is a late 18th-century structure built of brick on a rubble stone plinth, topped with a pantile roof that features two lower eaves rows in stone slates, and brick-coped verges. It consists of five bays and has collar and tie beam trusses supported by two purlins. Originally, there were first floors at both ends, but now there is only one at the east end. On the north side, there is a large entry with double timber doors, likely original, to the right. There is an opposing entry of the same width, but it is much lower and now partially blocked to create a window, featuring a brick arch. The south side has other blocked brick arch openings. This barn is included primarily for its group value with Oakhunger Farmhouse.
