Description
Severn Lodge is a detached house built in the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a parapet wall at the front, a hipped slate roof, and a large lateral brick stack on the right side. The house is square in shape, with two storeys, a raised basement, and an attic. It has three windows on the upper floor, which are 16-pane sashes with keystones and voussoirs, and a semi-circular fanlight above the central window. The ground floor has two similar windows and a central doorcase that is accessed by four stone steps. The door consists of wide double doors with six fielded panels, a depressed radial fanlight, and is flanked by stone Doric columns with a moulded open pediment. There is also a flat-roofed dormer with twin casements.
