Description

These are two late 18th-century cottages located on the south side of Salter Street. They are built of brick and have pantile roofs, with three brick stacks. The cottages are in a single range, two storeys high.

No. 41 has two windows with 16 and 12 panes respectively, and a door to the right with four fielded panels and a flat hood supported by iron brackets. No. 43, known as Cedar Cottage, has two 12-pane sashes and a canted bay window on the ground floor to the left, featuring a dentil course and pilasters between the sashes. The right-hand door has four fielded panels, a plain fanlight, and a flat hood on iron brackets.
