Description
This is a barn located approximately 8 meters south of Middle Lypiatt Farmhouse, dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of random rubble limestone and features a stone slate roof. The barn has four bays and includes two porches, with outshuts on the southwest side. Each side has an off-centre porch; the southwest porch has weatherboarding and a loft casement above a timber lintel. There is one outshut on the southwest side with a corrugated iron roof, while the other has a stone slate roof with a rounded corner. The northwest gable end has a parapet gable with a cross roll saddle and a blocked loft opening, along with a clock mounted above. An outbuilding is attached to the southeast end. Inside, the barn features a four-bay collar and tie-beam truss roof. This barn is part of a group with Middle Lypiatt Farmhouse and Garden Cottage.
