Description

This is a chest tomb from the late 17th century, located about 1 meter north of the railed Hale enclosure in the churchyard of the Church of St. Kenelm in Alderley Village. It is made of limestone and features a flat top with no visible plinth and a moulded capping. The sides and the west end are plain, while the east end is rounded and has inscriptions that are difficult to read. The tomb is very shallow, and the top was noted to be breaking up during the survey conducted in November 1984.
