Description

The Oldland Monument is a chest tomb located about 6 meters northeast of the Parslow Monument in the churchyard of the Church of St Mary the Virgin. It commemorates John Oldland, who died in 1792. The tomb is made of limestone and features a flat top with additional moulding along the upper edge, a moulded plinth, and capping. It has gadrooned quarter balusters and rectangular end panels that have a rounded projection at the top, with an inscription on the east side dating to 176-. The sides of the tomb are adorned with plain fielded rectangular panels.
