Description

Hope Cottage is a detached dwelling built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of rendered rubble, with the rear (west) facade exposed in stone, and features a stone slate roof. The building is rectangular and situated on a steep slope, topped with a hipped roof that has a gable return at the entrance. It has two storeys and is two-windowed, with sash windows that include glazing bars. The entrance has a new glazed door beneath a radial fanlight, set within deep recessed arches that are framed by a plat-band surround.
