Description
The property comprises an early 19th-century church house, together with garden gates, situated in Church Place. Constructed of hammerdressed rubble, it features a modern pitched roof. The building is two storeys high with an attic level. It has three ranges of segment-headed casement windows with glazing bars. A mid-19th century porch is present, distinguished by an elaborate bargeboard. Two attic dormers are visible, each with casement windows, glazing bars, and elaborate bargeboards. The mid-19th century iron gates are ornamented with fleur-de-lys finials. The church house forms part of a group of listed buildings within Church Place, which include Rose Cottage, Church Cottage, a raised pavement, and a retaining wall to the Churchyard on Walkley Hill.
