Description
Beechurst is a house dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century, with later alterations from the 19th century. It features painted brick and pebbledash render with a plain tiled hipped roof. The building is two storeys high and has a three-bay entrance front with a central door. At the rear, there are two projecting gabled wings. The first floor has glazing bar sash windows with frames that are flush to the wall, while the ground floor has wide 19th-century sashes. The entrance includes a six-panelled door with a rectangular fanlight and a 20th-century porch. There is a brick dentilled eaves cornice and two brick ridge stacks. The left-hand return front incorporates No. 1 Church Road, which has two full-height, shallow angled bays containing glazing bar sash windows.
Inside, there are some late 18th-century or early 19th-century panelled doors, a rebuilt staircase, and some moulded cornices. Most of the chimneypieces have been removed, except for one on the first floor. The building is included for its group value only.
