Description

Number 1 is a mid-19th century building constructed of hammerdressed rubble with a pitched stone roof and an ashlar chimney. The building is two storeys high with an attic. It has a range of mullioned casement windows, one door with a tiled hood supported on a wooden bracket, and a single-storey extension to the west with a lean-to roof and a mullioned casement window. A garden wall of hammerdressed rubble with ashlar coping runs to the south east. The listed buildings in Church Place form a group, including Rose Cottage, Chumh Cottage, the raised pavement, and the retaining wall to the churchyard of St Mary Magdalan's Church.
