Description
Red House is a detached house located in Frampton-on-Severn, dating from the mid to late 17th century. The building is constructed of brick and features a stone slate roof, which may be artificial. It has a large brick ridge stack with grouped flues, two of which are set diagonally. The roof is hipped to the right and half hipped to the left.
The house is a single range, with two storeys and an attic, and has a lobby entry. It features four windows that are 2-light wood mullion and transoms with glazing bars. Below these, there are three similar windows under cambered heads, and a 6-panel door located in the second bay from the left, with the top two panels glazed and topped by a pedimented hood. There are also two hipped dormers that contain twin 6-pane casements. Additionally, a wooden dovecote is set on the wall between the floors, positioned between the third and fourth bays.
