Detached house, mid/late C18. Brick in Flemish bond on tall rubblestone plinth, pantile roof, brick end stacks, external to left. Main central range with C20 lean-to to left and small single storey wing to right formerly in non-domestic use. 2 storeys to main range. 3 windows, 12-pane sashes with splayed brick voussoirs. 2 similar on ground floor with central doorcase up flight of 5 stone steps parallel to house up to platform. Sloping wooden hood on consoles with 6-panel door, top 2 glazed, rest fielded. Wing to right had 4 cambered head windows, outer 2 now bricked in and central 2 with leaded casements. House said to have been former cooperage for Berkeley Castle (q.v.).
