Description
No. 5 High Street is a house built in the late 18th century, constructed of brick in Flemish bond. It features a clay pantile roof with a stone ridge and gable copings, along with rendered end stacks. The building has two storeys and three bays, with a central late 20th-century door and overlight, accessed by two stone steps. The door is framed by a stucco wedge lintel and keystone, although the architrave is missing. The house has late 19th-century sash windows, which include painted keystones and stone sills. There is a rendered plinth, painted chamfered quoins at the corners, and a painted stone band between the floors. Additionally, there is a two-storey round-headed staircase window with sashes and margin-pane glazing located in the middle of the rear elevation.
