Description

The Stocks is a pair of village stocks located on St Mary's Street in Painswick. Dating from the 19th century, they consist of leg irons that are set into the road and secured to the churchyard wall with a thin curved rod. Additionally, there is a stone seat slab positioned against the wall, supported by two plain stone supports.
