Description

Wycke Cottage is a house located at the end of a short row, set back from St Mary's Street. It dates from the 18th century or earlier and is constructed from limestone ashlar with a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, featuring a single window on the front. On the ground floor, there is a three-light wood casement window and, to the right, a four-panel flush door. The first floor includes a three-light 19th-century chamfer mullion casement window, and above it is a gabled dormer with a two-light leaded casement. The house has gable stacks. Wycke Cottage may be a rebuild or an extension of Rosemary Cottage, with which it is connected.
