4/44 Hanman monument in the churchyard approximately 1m north of monument to John Hanman north of Church of St. John

GV II

Chest tomb. Dated 1737. Limestone. Gadrooned corner balusters. East end panel has serpent of eternity with fronds; west has cherub bearing open book. Large cartouche on north side incorporating 2 winged cherub's heads and flanked by panels depicting flaming urns on scrolled pedestal. Swag and curtain drops above moulded panel on south side; flanking panels of ribbon drops. Cyma moulded top and cavetto base. Inscribed on north side to ---- HANMAN, died 1737.
