Description

The monument to John Hanman is a chest tomb located in the churchyard approximately 6 meters north of the Church of St. John. It dates from the 18th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features gadrooned corner balusters. The west end displays an anthropomorphic panel within a cartouche, accompanied by two winged cherub's heads below it. The east side has a plain recessed moulded panel. There is a moulded recessed inscription panel on the sides, with rosettes and ribbon drops on the north side, and a ribbon bow with floral drops on the south side. The top has a cyma moulding, and the base is cavetto. The south side is inscribed to John Hanman, although the date is illegible.
