Description

BREWERY LANE 1. 5227 Avening Cottage (formerly listed as Avening Cottages under Market Street) ST 8499 6/45 30.5.51 II GV 2. Early C18 altered. Two storeys and attic. Painted rubble. Modern tile roof. Left hand part rendered, mid C19 with one window on first floor and an angled bay on ground floor, glazing bar sashes. Centre part has attic gable with 2 light mullion window with drip and 2 windows below (altered but retaining common drip, later sashes). Door to left. One window extension to right, glazing bar sashes. Two storey extension to Butcher Hill's Lane, one window, then angled with a 2+1 window continuation. Important for informal grouping of Brewery Lane and Butcher Hill's Lane corner.
