Description

Hawthorn Cottage is an early 18th-century building, altered in the early 19th century. It is a three-storey structure built of coursed and squared rubble. The roof is low-pitched slate with a coped verge on the right side, and there are brick chimneys. The cottage has two windows; the upper windows have lead lattice glazing, while the lower windows are 3-light mullioned casements with cornices on the ground floor. A centrally positioned chamfered doorway has a modern battened door.
