Description
Woolstaplers is a building dating from around 1700 that has been altered over time. It faces the river and features a plain ashlar facade on the north-west front, which includes a tall and narrow central doorway with a modern Tudor style door and a leaded overlight above. The roof is covered with concrete tiles and has coped verges and end chimneys with moulded capping, along with three gabled dormers. There is a blocked timber lintel window on the north gable and a weathered cartouche to the left of the door.
On the river front, the building has two storeys and is stone-slated on this side. It features three windows: the outer two are three-light, while the center window is two-light, all set in a mullion-type design with a rebated surround. The ground floor has been altered; the drip for the left-hand window now serves a glazed door, and there is a modern side window. To the right, there is a projecting lean-to that includes a re-used three-light mullion window and a modern glazed door.
