Description

This is a milestone dating from around 1726. It is made of local limestone and features iron plates. The milestone stands approximately 1 meter high and has a square shape. The top is pyramidal but has been weathered over time. On the roadside face, there are two iron plates, one above the other, both painted white with black lettering. The smaller upper plate is inscribed with the letter "V," while the lower plate reads "Miles to / Glocefter."
