Description
The boundary walls to Holcombe House date from the 18th and 19th centuries. They are constructed of squared limestone, with some sections built as drystone walling, and feature weathered capping. The front boundary wall runs the full width of the house and stands about 1.5 meters high, with a small wrought iron gate positioned opposite the doorway. To the right, the wall continues at a slightly greater height to connect with the barn. On the left, the wall returns to the front of the house, rising to the height of the string course and including a gate opening in the higher section. The wall on the right maintains a continuous height at the string level and incorporates one doorway. Overall, the walls complement the setting of the house.
