Description
Pool Cottage is a detached cottage, likely built in the mid to late 17th century. It features square panel timber framing set on a stone plinth, with brick infill that is partly painted. The right-hand return has brick and stone, and stone forms the base for the chimney stack. The cottage has a steeply pitched tile roof that was formerly thatched, with a brick chimney stack on the right side, which is external to the left. It consists of a single small range that includes one storey and an attic, with small lean-tos on both sides. The windows are small 4-pane casements, with three on the ground floor and a plank door located to the left of centre. There is one similar window on the first floor to the left and a 4-light raking dormer on the right side, set through the eaves.
