Description

PAINSWICK HALES LANE SO 8609/8709 (west side) 7/367 Two Gazebos, at the Cottage and Court Garden Cottage GV II Two gazebos. Probably C18. Limestone rubble, stone slate roofs. Square build- ings set immediately behind the wall bounding the street; each is with pyramidal roof to e ball finial, and with single door set in. That to The Cottage also has a square planked access opening on the street side about 1 m from pavement level. These were presumably originally part of the garden detail to the Court House (qv), and are about 30 m apart, aligned to the east front of the Court House.
