Description

No. 8 Westward Road is a mid-19th century ashlar building. It has a hipped slate roof with overhanging eaves and ashlar chimneys. The building is three stories high, with a plain string course above each floor. It features three ranges of double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. The central range has a continuous recessed panel. The ground floor includes rusticated quoins and Venetian windows with segmental heads and keystones. A six-panel door is present, along with a segment-headed fanlight and keystone. The building is part of a group that includes Nos. 2 to 14 (even), Kingley Cottage, Jasmin Villas, and Henley House Paganhill Lane.
