Description

Brook House is a building dating from the 17th century or earlier, located on the east side of Paganhill and Cainscross. The structure features a mix of materials, including part hammer-dressed rubble, part coursed rubble, and part rendered surfaces. The hammer-dressed section has a stone roof, while the rest of the building is covered with slate. It stands two storeys tall and has five mullioned windows with hoodmoulds; one of these windows includes lead glazing bars, while the others are 19th-century casements with glazing bars. Brook House is part of a group with Albert Terrace.
