Description

Hillworth Cottage is a house built in the 18th or 19th century as part of a terrace. It is constructed of limestone ashlar with a concrete tile roof and a gable brick stack. The house has three storeys and a basement, with a two-window front. The ground floor features one sash window in what was formerly a doorway, and a 12-pane sash above a basement window with a cambered top set into a plinth. Two 12-pane sashes are positioned above a plain string course on the first floor, and a single 4-pane sash tops the building. A wide 20th-century plank door with a plain overlight is located to the right in the adjacent property within an arched opening. The second floor appears to be a later addition.
