Description
Stoneleigh is a house located at the upper end of a row on Gloucester Street in Painswick. It dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. The front is made of ashlar limestone, with dressed squared stone on the gable returns and a Welsh slate roof. There is one ashlar stack and one brick stack, which has been raised in reconstructed ashlar, both featuring cappings. The house is two storeys high and has three windows with 12-pane sashes set in plain reveals. The central entrance consists of a 4-panel door beneath a shallow transom light. On the left return, there are two additional 12-pane sashes. A small plinth extends down to the pavement at the upper end. The building is included for its group value.
