Description
Kingsbury is a house located at the end of a street row in Painswick, dating from the early to mid 19th century. The front is constructed of limestone ashlar, while the sides are made of coursed rough dressed stone, topped with a concrete tile roof. The building is set gable to the street with a short set-back wing to the left. It has two storeys and an attic; the wing features a 12-pane sash window above a 4-panel door with a plain transom light. On the side facing down the street, there are 12-pane sash windows. The gable side has a single window, which consists of 2 or 3-light flush chamfer mullion casements with a horizontal bar; the ground floor 3-light window is now partly blocked. There is a grilled opening to the basement on the left. On the far left of the gable, there are 16-pane sash windows at both the ground and first floors, and a 12-pane sash in the attic.
