Description
The gate pier attached to St Mary's Cottage is a Grade II listed structure, likely built in 1748 by John Bryan. It is made of limestone ashlar and has a squared plan topped with a moulded capping that features a lion holding a shield. This pier is part of the enclosure detail for the churchyard of St Mary.
