Description
Cosy Cot and Yewleigh are two houses in a row, likely built in the 17th and 18th centuries, although they have undergone significant work in the 20th century. The buildings are constructed from coursed and squared limestone with a stone slate roof.
The left part is two storeys with an attic and features two windows. On the ground floor, there is a square bay and a 3-light 20th-century casement window in its original opening. The first floor has two 2-light recessed chamfer stone mullion casements, and above is a face half-dormer with a 2-light 20th-century casement. There is a central 20th-century door with a hood above it, along with an eaves stack and a gable stack.
The right part is also two storeys with an attic and has one window. The ground floor includes a 20th-century wooden casement window and a 20th-century door beneath a stopped hood. Above this, there is a 3-light recessed chamfer stone mullioned casement and a face half-dormer with a 20th-century casement.
These houses are included for their group value, and the interior may still contain items of interest.
