Description

Threashold Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the early 18th century, with later additions from the late 18th century and a 19th-century porch. It is constructed of random rubble limestone, featuring an ashlar wing and ashlar chimneys, topped with a plain tile roof. The building is two storeys high, with a cellar and attic, and has a lobby entry with wings extending to the rear.

The front of the farmhouse has a two-window arrangement and a central doorway that features a moulded Tudor arch and a 20th-century door. The porch is parapet-gabled, also with a Tudor arch and side lancets. The upper floor has two-light chamfered mullioned casements with hood moulds, along with a small central chamfered casement. The ground floor casements have been enlarged in the 19th century and also feature hood moulds. A central ridge-mounted chimney cluster has three diagonal shafts with moulded caps.

On the east side, there is a parapet gable to the right with a cross roll saddle and single-window fenestration. The ground floor has a three-light window, with a matching three-light window above and a two-light window in the attic, all with hood moulds. A late 18th-century wing extends to the left, featuring sashes in a two-storey canted bay with a moulded cornice, and a doorway to the right with a stone lintel and a four-panel door.

The west side has a parapet gable to the left with a cross roll saddle, a three-light window on the ground floor, a three-light window above, and a two-light window in the attic. To the right, there is a lean-to outshut with a two-light mullioned casement and a hood. The south side has an accumulation of gabled service wings. The interior has not been inspected.
