Description
The Sunday School Building is an early 19th-century church hall located in Wotton-under-Edge. The flank walls are constructed of brickwork in two courses of stretchers to one header, which is a modified garden wall bond, while the gable walls are rendered. The building has a slate roof and is a simple free-standing block set at right angles to the chapel, positioned back in the graveyard. It is a single-storey structure with three windows featuring brick arches with stone keystones, sashes that include part radial bars, and stone cills. Each gable end has two large sashes beneath flat lintels. The central door faces the chapel and has stone jambs and an arch composed of two segments plus a key, with a recent door and a fanlight that includes radial bars. The interior has a flat ceiling and features three cast iron rosettes. The graveyard is enclosed by iron railings similar to those of the chapel. This building is included for its group value and social interest.
