Description

Burley Methodist Church Hall is a Sunday school building that was constructed in 1904. It is made of coursed squared rock-faced gritstone with ashlar details and is designed in the Gothic Revival style. The hall is a single storey structure with three bays and a gable facing the road.

The road facade features paired three-light windows with decorated tracery, a gabled buttress between the windows, a carved band, and a traceried panel at the apex topped with a crocketed pinnacle. There are octagonal corner turrets that include traceried panels and truncated gabled spirelets. The entrance bay, located to the right, has a hipped roof and a wide doorway set in a moulded arch with a traceried overlight. To the left of the entrance is a cusped window, and there is a low lean-to on the right return that has mullioned windows and gabled clerestory windows with trefoil tracery. The interior has not been inspected.
