Description
Ley Fold Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse constructed of painted brick in a variation of English garden wall bond, topped with a tiled roof. The building features a four-window front that is irregularly spaced, with two storeys and an attic. The main entrance is a six-panel front door located under the second window from the left, with the lowest panels flush and the upper panels glazed. The door has panelled reveals, a plain timber surround, and a flat hood supported by brackets. The windows have cambered brick-on-end heads and consist of three-light timber casements, with iron opening lights that have hooks. To the left of the front door is a cellar window with an elliptical head, and to the right is another window, followed by a door with a two-light window beyond it. Above, there is a plain string course and four three-light windows on the first floor. The farmhouse has a projecting gable chimney on the left, with the gable rendered, and a lateral chimney on the right. At the rear, there is a lean-to and a later wing that runs parallel to the front of the building.
