Description
The boundary wall attached to the south-west corner of Severn Lodge and flanking Church Lane dates from the early 19th century. It is made of sandstone and features a curved wall approximately 3 metres high, which includes a pointed arch opening with rough voussoirs and flat coping. This wall connects the south-west corner of Severn Lodge to a boundary wall running south, which is about 4 metres high and has a three-piece canted sandstone coping. This wall measures approximately 45 metres in length and includes one arched opening at the north end. There is also a boundary wall that runs north from this point, measuring about 7 metres at a height of 2.5 metres and 10 metres at a height of 2 metres, leading to a pair of square sandstone gatepiers that are 425 millimetres square and 2.2 metres high, topped with flat cappings and a moulded edge, as well as a moulded plinth. The gatepiers have 20th-century gates, and there is a final 2-metre length of wall leading to a barn at the north end, which is not listed.
