Description
This is a former farmhouse dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. The left-hand section is built of coursed sandstone rubble over large upright plinth stones, while the remainder of the building is of the 18th or early 19th century and attached to the earlier farmhouse, which is rendered. The roof is of Welsh slate, hipped at the right-hand end, with a deep soffit over the recessed centre section. Three brick stacks are present.
The building has a long three-part frontage, with the earlier farmhouse set back to the left. The street front is two storeys high and has a 2:1:2 window arrangement. The windows are 12 over 16-pane sashes, except for a 16 over 16-pane window at the right-hand end. The centre-left section has a three-panel door under a transom light, within a crude, late 19th-century glazed porch accessible via three sandstone steps. The earlier block features two gabled dormers with 19th-century casements over three-light 19th-century casements. The earlier part of the house has a hipped Welsh slate roof, although double-roman tiles are visible on the left-hand side.
